support the its transportation and
growth management activities, and to
help local jurisdictions and
agencies in their planning efforts,
the Authority maintains several
tools and associated databases.
These include travel
demand models, a database of
demographic information called the Land
Use Information System (LUIS), a
geographic information system, and a
database
of current and proposed
transportation projects.
All
of these tools are designed to
support both the Authority and local
activities. The Authority will use
these tools to develop the 2004
Update and proposed
Extension of Measure C and the 2003
CMP Update as well as in more detailed
corridor and project studies.
Local agencies also use this
information in the analysis of
general plan amendments and major
developments. |
