As part of the 1993 Congestion Management
Program, the Contra Costa Transportation
Authority created its first Comprehensive
Transportation Project List, or
CTPL. This database of transportation
improvement projects is designed
to list all of the transportation
projects for which jurisdictions
and agencies are seeking federal
or State funding. The CTPL has been
used to create the required seven-year
capital improvement program for
the CMPs and to define the “universe
of projects” used in the Countywide
Comprehensive Transportation Plan.
More recently, the Authority used
the CTPL to support the decennial
update or its travel demand model
and the Countywide Bicycle and Pedestrian
Plan.
Beginning with the
2004 Update to the CTP and the 2003
CMP, the Authority has used a website
to make it easier to maintain the
CTPL and ensure that the information
it includes accurate and up-to-date.
At this website,
project sponsors can edit projects
already in the CTPL, update their
status, and add new ones. We will
use your refinements to prepare
the 2005 CMP Update and to update
the project list in the Countywide
Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan.
We have prepared
a pdf document to show project sponsors
how to use the website. If you are
staff to a project sponsor and would
like access to the CTPL website,
please contact Brad Beck, Senior
Transportation Planner, by phone
at 925 256 4726 or by email at bbeck@ccta.net.
