Costa voters passed Measure J in November
2004. The Measure will be effective
on April 1, 2009 and will extend the
current transportation 1/2 cent sales
tax for 25 years (2009 - 2034). At
its May 17, 2006 meeting, the Authority
adopted 1) a financial framework for
implementation of Measure J projects
and programs and 2) policies to address
advancement of project development
work for Measure J projects ahead
