This project widened San Ramon Valley Boulevard between Alcosta Boulevard and Montevideo Drive. The project was constructed in two phases. The first phase included widening of the roadway from two to four lanes at the extreme north and south ends of the project, and realignment of the roadway and utility undergrounding at the south end. Other work included interim relocation of overhead utilities along the middle section of the project, installation of a traffic signal at Pine Valley Road, and construction of medians, turn pockets and landscaping throughout. Adjacent developers constructed concurrent frontage improvements and collector street intersections at the north end of the project. The second phase will include the balance of the widening from two to four lanes along the middle section of the project and undergrounding of the remaining overhead utilities.
The first phase was funded entirely from the Measure C Southwest Arterial category with matching State-Local Transportation Partnership Program funds. The second phase will be partially constructed by developers, and by City development fees.
