The Authority does not generally collect personal information about you when you visit our website unless you choose to provide that information to us. We collect non-personally identifiable information ("Non-PII") which your browser makes available automatically whenever you visit our website. This information includes the internet address of your computer or network, the date, time and page you visited on our website, your browser operating system, and the last webpage you visited before clicking on a link to the Authority's website. The Authority may use the aggregate Non-PII from all of our visitors to measure server performance, analyze user traffic patterns and improve the content of our website. The Authority may also use the Non-PII to measure interest in a specific topic.
The Authority also collects personally identifiable information ("PII"). The PII is volunteered by you when you provide personal information about yourself to us. This includes information such as your name, your home or work address, your telephone and fax numbers, your employer's name and your job title, and your email address. Generally, the Authority only obtains your PII when you register for our publications or services, or when you send comments to the Authority through the use of our "Comment" function.
If you chose to engage in certain optional activities on this website, such as ordering publications, registering for services or sending comments, the Authority may ask you to provide PII by filling out and submitting an online form including such information as your name, home or work address, your telephone and fax numbers, your employer's name and your job title, and your email address, as well as some other personal information to be used for verification such as your place and date of birth. Some of the information requested will be mandatory and some voluntary. If you choose not to provide the mandatory information with respect to a particular activity, you will not be able to engage in that activity.
The Authority collects PII information in order to facilitate the delivery of the information and services you request and to administer the Authority's programs. The Authority takes the privacy of your PII seriously. The Authority will not sell or distribute your personal information outside of the Authority's member agencies unless otherwise posted on the relevant online questionnaire.
If you send the Authority an email, you should know that such email is not necessarily secure against interception. Therefore, if your communication includes sensitive information or you would prefer not to use one of our online forms, contact us by postal mail or telephone rather than email. We take appropriate security measures to protect against the unauthorized access, alteration or destruction of data. In doing so, we reserve the right to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information or to otherwise damage our website. Anyone using this website expressly consents to such monitoring by the Authority.
The Authority allows third parties to place cookies on our site for advertising purposes. This Online Privacy Statement does not cover the collection methods or use of the information collected by these vendors. These vendors have their own privacy policies and may be members of the Network Advertising Initiative ("NAI"). To remove yourself from some or all NAI member advertising programs, please visit the NAI Opt-Out Page and follow the relevant instructions. Please note that if you delete, block, or otherwise restrict cookies, or if you use a different computer or Internet browser, you may need to renew your opt-out choice.
