Geary Road from Putman Boulevard/Buena Vista Avenue to Pleasant Hill Road.

The project will be constructed in two phases. Phase 3A will improve pedestrian/bike access and include landscaping and gateway enhancements at the Geary/Pleasant Hill Road Intersection.

Phase 3B consists of traffic signal improvements, street lighting, traffic striping, and necessary drainage and pavement improvements.

Geary Road links Pleasant Hill Road with Treat Boulevard and serves as the only arterial connection between northwest Walnut Creek and the Pleasant Hill BART station. Currently, left turning vehicles create long queues for through traffic, and pedestrians/bicyclists are forced to use the existing roadway shoulders.
